Bookbags Overview

Bookbags are containers. They can be used for any number of purposes: to keep track of books you have read or books you would like to read, to develop a class reading list or a reading list for your book club, even to keep a list of books you would like for your birthday. Their use is only limited by your creativity.

Creating Bookbags

Bookbags are very simple to create and add to from within the public training catalog at https://blade9/opac/en-US/skin/default/xml/index.xml Practicing from outside the library? You can use the Michigan Evergreen catalog at https://demo.michiganevergreen.org It's a little different look, but the same data.

There are two ways to create a bookbag. Through My Account click My Bookbags

Sharing Bookbags

Bookbags can either be private, and only viewable by you, or public, and viewable by anyone who knows the web address of the bookbag. By default, all bookbags are private, and you must explicitly instruct the system to allow others to view the contents of a bookbag. You can choose to share a bookbag from My Bookbags in My Account.

You can give the web address of your bookbag to anyone with whom you want to share it

  • Click View next to your shared bookbag. Evergreen will open a new tab or window with the public view of your bookbag.
  • Bookmark the address of this public view or copy and paste it to share with others.
