MeL Class Descriptions

PLEASE NOTE:  DUE TO CONTINUING CHANGES WITH ALL OF THE DATABASES, THIS SECTION IS UNDER CONSTANT REVIEW AND CHANGE.

Hands-on training in the Michigan eLibrary (MeL) Databases is available for library staff in the state of Michigan free of charge. Classes are offered in locations throughout the state. Because all classes are hands-on, active learning, host libraries need to provide a computer lab with Internet connection for each participant and a projector for the instructor's station. Minimum class size is 8; maximum class size is 20.  Libraries may combine staff to schedule classes.

For more information on each class, please click on one of the links on the left green column.

Basic Internet navigation skills are required for all classes.

To schedule a class to be taught in your library, REMC, or Cooperative, please contact MLC.

Please contact MLC with any questions about training or training materials.
