Now - ordering PlayAways is easier than ever!  Get the latest titles, the most current pricing, and take advantage of PlayAway's special discount promotions!  You do not have to register, you do not need an account! You may order one title, or all of them!  Orders will be shipped directly to your library.  

  • Go to:   www.playawaylibrary.com
  • Click on Shop
  • Select your titles - either in the Search Catalog box or use the sorting drop down boxes.
  • If you are looking for Accessories, use the Sort Items By drop down box.
  • Enter the quantity you would like.
  • Click on Add/Update Cart
  • When you are done, click on Checkout
  • If you would like a list of your titles, print the order form.

That's it!  Your order will be placed and you will receive a Confirmation Notice from MLC.  If you do not receive a Confirmation Notice, it means I have been sent an order, but I don't know who it belongs to, and I cannot process it.

Unfortunately, MLC is not able to offer PlayAways to K12 libraries, due to PlayAway's exclusive contract with Follett.
 
Finally - you have the option of an innovative, simple, and affordable way to offer digital audio books to your patrons!

Playaway comes pre-loaded with audio digital content, so it does not require licensing, subscriptions, memberships, or even an Internet connection. Patrons just plug-in headphones and listen!

Each Playaway digital audio book title includes library-friendly packaging along with two AAA batteries and a set of earbuds at no additional cost.  The unit weighs just two ounces, is about half the size of a deck of cards and holds content that ranges from 3 to 24 hours play time.

Playaway is now offering free shipping on all orders of 10+ units with a flat shipping rate of $6.95 on orders under 10 units, and extended their warranty from six months to one full year.
                         

Effective January 3, 2007 all Playaway unit packaging changed to a Universal Library Case, with locking accessories.
The Universal Case system features:
Standard VHS case size that fits into standard shelving layouts
Flexibility to switch from non-locking to locking by simply adding a locking clip attachment
An easy-to-use counter key that works with standard DVD/VHS secure cases

Please be aware that all new titles will come standard with the Universal Case.  In order to lock the Universal Case, universal locking clips and a counter key must be purchased as accessory items.
