MLC's group subscription to ebrary electronic books is open to all members and runs annually beginning June 1. New subscribers may join at any time and will be prorated for remaining contract months.

ebrary’s Dynamic Content Platform (DCP) integrates patent-pending software with a growing repository of more than 60,000 full-text, digital books and other authoritative content from over 200 leading publishers. The DCP includes the ebrary Reader, which optimizes page-by-page delivery of PDF documents, and InfoTools, which seamlessly links search queries to multiple online databases and information on the Web.

The following collections are available via ebrary’s DCP under a simultaneous, multi-user access model. ebrary integrates with a library’s OPAC and workflow through free MARC records and the customizable InfoTools menu.

  • Growing Collections - Span multiple subject areas and are continually growing at no additional cost throughout the subscription term. In 2004, ebrary grew its collections by more than 60%. Growing Collections are priced according to Enrollment.
  • Fixed Collections - Available in a number of single subject areas and have flat-rate pricing.
  • Custom Collections - Libraries may pick and choose among titles in ebrary’s Growing or Fixed Collections, creating a database that meets their specific needs. Custom Collections are priced on a per-title basis.
  • Single Publisher Collections - ebrary offers collections from esteemed publishers such as D&B and Datamonitor, which are priced according to Enrollment.
