FirstSearch Subscription Databases
OCLC FirstSearch Databases provides easy access to valued information. FirstSearch databases are available for individual subscription purchase. Please visit FirstSearch Database Descriptions for more detailed database descriptions.
Per-Search Method
With the per-search method, you pay by the search and purchase searches in advance in blocks of 500. This method lets many users use your account simultaneously.
OCLC members receive a discount on the per-search purchase option. Additional blocks of searches can be purchased at any time, providing access to dozens of databases.
In addition, OCLC has a Periodical Finder service available through its home page. You can enter a journal title and find which database(s) index it, whether it is available full-text, and the dates of coverage. You also can view or download the results of your search.
For additional information, please visit OCLC FirstSearch on the web.
QuestionPoint QuestionPoint is OCLC's collaborative reference service, which is in transition to join with 24/7 Reference Services. Learn more about the merger of QuestionPoint and 24/7 Reference services at OCLC's QuestionPoint - 24/7 Transition Team FAQ web page.
